ADVANCING AND RECEDING COLORS IN PLANAR-RELIEF
We are not just stocked at painting on our sketch pad and canvass. Here, we used a Material, "Foam Board." Read More.
We are assigned with different shapes of the object that we will make. We were instructed to make a planar object out of the assigned shape for us. I was assigned in the shape of a "square." We cut the foam board into 10 pieces, from largest to smallest square to make a pyramid-like planar object just like the figure on the top.
We need to apply color theory for this activity so, we are assigned to apply the complementary colors in this activity. I chose the color orange, and its complementary color, Blue.
We need to make the planar object make an illusion that it is a cave-like object that has a depth, and we can make this illusion by fading the color, from color Orange to color blue, from the top of the Planar object to the bottom.
